October Happenings

In busy October, we attended lots of Band Competitions for Maddie GEE! She's the one with the Saxophone!
I made a trip to California to visit my sister and my favorite place in CA....Big Sur.

Also went to San Francisco for the day...that's us hangin' on the cable car!
Here we are getting ready for Halloween.

Fall Bike Ride -- Blue Ridge Parkway

We stopped at a roadside "Trading Post" and these lovely creatures were in the pasture across the street!
Everyone should take the opportunity to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a beautiful area that highlights the splendor of God's creation. I hope I get the chance to go again and to explore the northern leg of the Parkway too sometime!

We've been so busy since school started. Lots to catch up on including: first day of school.... see McKenzie (pink shirt) and McKayla (blue skirt)...that's the first day of 3rd grade and the first day of seperate classrooms for them.

The whitewater photos (and the cake) are from my surprise birthday celebration! Randy and I rafted the Ocoee River (upper and middle sections) for about six hours! Class 3,4&5 rapids..it was GREAT fun!
My mom also gave me tickets to see my favorite singing group...Selah! I enjoyed their concert in Nashville more than any show I've ever seen! It was terrific.




Can you believe this photo? Madison started high school this year. This is the morning of the first day of her Freshman year. Isn't she lovely? I can't believe how grown up she is!

M & M Birthday Celebration

On Friday, July 28, we had a "Roaring Dinosaur" party...McKayla's choice. We had a sleepover and it sounded alot like dinosaurs roaring until the wee hours of the morning!
Then on Saturday, July 29, we took the 2nd cake (Puppy Dogs...McKenzie's choice) to the water park along. Several friends came along and everyone had a great time!

It is so great to take the time to visit and spend time with friends and family. I count it such a blessing to have had this time....except for the few minutes with the Liver Mush!! LOL!!!
Seriously...Thanks to Keith, Paula, Clint and Kasey for hosting us. Your new home is so nice and we appreciate you sharing it with our family. Can't wait for you guys to come here this weekend...but we will miss Clint.
